Hexaware Names Vivek Jetley as CEO-Designate as Leadership Transition Begins
Hexaware Technologies has named Vivek Jetley as its next chief executive, beginning a leadership transition that will see current CEO Srikrishna Ramakarthikeyan step down on October 28, 2026. Ramakarthikeyan, who has been with the company for 12 years, will leave his positions as CEO and Whole-time Director but remain with Hexaware as a Senior Advisor during the transition.
Jetley will take over as CEO on October 28 under a four-year appointment. He is currently President at EXL, where he leads the Insurance, Healthcare and Life Sciences businesses and brings more than two decades of experience across analytics, artificial intelligence, data management and enterprise transformation.
Vivek Jetley Brings AI and Analytics Experience
Before becoming President at EXL, Jetley led the company's analytics business, working across advanced analytics, artificial intelligence and enterprise data management. He joined EXL in 2006 following its acquisition of Inductis, where he had been a partner.
His experience comes at a time when AI is becoming a larger part of enterprise technology spending. Hexaware has been expanding its own AI-led services, making Jetley's background in analytics and enterprise transformation particularly relevant as the company moves into its next phase.
Ramakarthikeyan to Support the Handover
Ramakarthikeyan's resignation was announced on September 2, with his CEO and Whole-time Director positions ending on October 28. He will continue as Senior Advisor after stepping down from executive responsibilities, providing continuity while Jetley takes over the company's leadership.
During his 12-year tenure, Ramakarthikeyan was involved in Hexaware's expansion as a global digital and IT services provider. The company said his continued advisory role will help ensure an orderly transition before he fully steps away from executive leadership.
Hexaware Targets Its Next Phase of Growth
Jetley's appointment comes as Hexaware looks to expand its position in AI-driven technology services. His previous work in analytics, data and AI gives him experience in areas that are becoming increasingly important to enterprise technology customers.
The incoming CEO will inherit a business navigating changes across the IT services industry, where companies are shifting from traditional outsourcing toward AI-enabled transformation and automation. His immediate task will be to maintain business continuity while building on Hexaware's existing growth strategy.
The leadership change will formally take effect on October 28, when Jetley becomes CEO and Ramakarthikeyan moves into his advisory role. Until then, both executives will be involved in the transition.
