Axonius Names Thais Lima CRO and Lior Mozel CTO
Axonius has appointed Thais Lima as chief revenue officer and Lior Mozel as chief technology officer, bringing two experienced technology executives into its senior leadership team. The company announced the appointments on 3 November as it looks to scale its asset intelligence platform and respond to demand from security and IT teams. Thais Lima joins Axonius from Twilio, where she most recently served as senior vice president of global sales. Mozel joins from data platform company WEKA, where he was chief engineering officer.
The appointments give Axonius separate leadership for global commercial growth and technology development. Co-founder Ofri Shur, who previously held the CTO position, will move into the role of chief technology strategist.
Thais Lima to lead global revenue strategy
Thais Lima brings 20 years of experience in scaling technology businesses, organisational transformation and operational leadership. At Axonius, she will oversee the company’s global growth strategy, including go-to-market execution across enterprise customer segments and industry verticals, as well as international expansion.
Before joining Axonius, Lima served as senior vice president of global sales at Twilio and previously held the role of interim chief revenue officer for its Communications business. Earlier in her career, she worked in finance and commercial operations at IBM and held finance leadership positions at General Electric. Her background combines commercial leadership with financial and operational experience.
Lior Mozel takes charge of technology and R&D
Mozel will lead Axonius’s global research and development organisation and set the company-wide technology vision, strategy and architecture. His appointment places responsibility for the platform’s engineering direction with an executive who has spent more than two decades building software and scaling international development teams.
He most recently served as chief engineering officer at WEKA, where he led global R&D and development of the WEKA Data Platform for AI and performance-intensive workloads. Before that, he held engineering leadership roles at Cybereason, including chief engineering officer and senior vice president of engineering. His earlier experience includes leading R&D at Playbuzz and engineering roles at Imperva.
Leadership changes support Axonius expansion
The appointments come as organisations manage increasingly complex IT environments, including cloud services, software, connected devices and AI systems. Axonius develops asset intelligence technology designed to give security and IT teams a consolidated view of digital assets and exposures so they can identify gaps and coordinate remediation.
With Mozel taking the CTO role, co-founder Ofri Shur will become chief technology strategist. CEO Joe Diamond said the new leaders bring complementary experience in building a global revenue operation and developing technology at scale. The company’s announcement positions the changes as part of its next growth phase, rather than a change in its core product direction.
Thais Lima’s appointment also follows other additions to Axonius’s executive team during 2026, including chief trust and security officer Chris Jones and senior vice president of business development Dan Schoenbaum in September. The company is strengthening both its commercial organisation and technical leadership as it expands its asset intelligence offering.
