Navana.ai raises ₹40 crore Series A led by Ronnie Screwvala

Indian voice-AI startup Navana.ai has raised ₹40 crore in a Series A funding round led by Ronnie Screwvala’s Unilazer Ventures. The company plans to use the capital to expand its voice-AI technology across banking and financial services while developing speech models designed for India’s diverse languages.

The round also includes participation from existing investors, including Exfinity Venture Partners and RPG Ventures. Navana.ai has built voice-based AI systems for enterprises, with applications including customer service, collections, sales and other business interactions.

Funding to Expand Enterprise Voice AI

Navana.ai intends to direct the new funding toward expanding its presence in financial services, where automated voice systems can handle customer interactions and other high-volume processes. The company is also looking to strengthen its technology infrastructure as it takes on larger enterprise deployments.

The startup’s platform is designed to support automated conversations through voice, allowing businesses to deploy AI agents for tasks that traditionally require human call-center staff. Its systems can be integrated with enterprise workflows and customer-service operations.

Focus on Indian Language Speech Models

A major part of the company’s technology strategy is building speech models that work across Indian languages and different regional accents. Navana.ai has developed voice technology for multiple Indian languages and is focusing on making AI interactions more effective in local-language contexts.

The focus is particularly relevant to financial services, where voice-based systems can potentially reach customers who are more comfortable communicating in regional languages than in English. The company is developing its models to improve speech recognition and natural-language interaction across these use cases.

Startup Targets Banking and Financial Services

Navana.ai’s expansion comes as banks, financial institutions and other large businesses explore AI-powered customer interactions. Voice AI can be used for outbound calls, customer support, payment reminders, lead qualification and other repetitive communication tasks.

With the new Series A capital, Navana.ai plans to expand its enterprise customer base and invest further in its voice technology. The company will also continue developing language-specific AI capabilities as it targets wider adoption of voice agents across India’s financial and business services sectors.

The funding gives Navana.ai additional capital as businesses move beyond text-based AI tools toward systems that can interact with customers through natural speech. Its ability to support Indian languages and integrate voice AI into financial workflows will be central to its next stage of growth.
