Island Raises $400M at $6.4B Valuation to Expand Enterprise AI Security
Enterprise security company Island has raised $400 million in Series F funding, valuing the company at $6.4 billion. The round was led by Evolution Equity Partners, with participation from existing investors including Sequoia Capital, Coatue Management, Cyberstarts, Insight Partners and J.P. Morgan Growth Equity Partners.
The latest financing comes as companies increasingly deploy AI agents that can interact with applications, data and corporate systems. Island plans to use the new capital to support its next phase of product development and growth as enterprises look for ways to secure and govern both human and AI-driven work.
Island Expands Beyond Enterprise Browsers
Island initially built its business around an Enterprise Browser that embeds security, access and productivity controls into the browser used by employees. The company has since expanded into endpoints, applications, data protection and secure access infrastructure.
Its broader platform is now positioned as an agentic control plane, designed to give organizations visibility and control over activities performed by employees and AI agents across different parts of the technology environment.
New Funding Targets AI Agent Security
As AI agents gain greater access to enterprise applications and sensitive information, companies face new challenges around identity, permissions, data access and monitoring. Island's platform is designed to provide controls and auditability across these activities.
The company says its platform combines controls across the endpoint, network, data, identity and observability layers. This allows organizations to establish policies around what users and AI agents can access and which actions they are permitted to perform.
Valuation Climbs to $6.4 Billion
The new funding round increases Island's valuation by more than 30% from its $4.8 billion valuation in 2025, according to Reuters. The company has raised more than $1 billion since its launch.
Island said it now employs around 1,000 people and has doubled its annual recurring revenue every fiscal year since its launch in 2022. The company also says eight of the world's 10 largest banks use its enterprise browser.
Enterprise Security Moves Into the Agentic Era
The latest funding highlights a growing focus on security infrastructure for AI agents rather than only traditional employee and device security. Island is attempting to extend its original browser-based security model across the wider enterprise environment.
With its new capital, the company will continue developing its platform as organizations introduce AI agents into increasingly sensitive workflows. The challenge will be balancing greater automation with the visibility, access controls and auditing required for enterprise deployments.
