Nscale Appoints Amy Banse to Board as AI Cloud Company Expands
Amy Banse Joins Nscale Board
AI cloud company Nscale has appointed Amy Banse to its Board of Directors as the company continues to expand its full-stack AI infrastructure business.
Announced on October 6, the appointment gives Nscale access to more than three decades of experience in corporate strategy, investment and governance. Banse will also serve as Chair of the company's Compensation Committee.
Banse currently serves on the boards of Adobe, Lennar Corporation and On Holding AG. She previously served on the board of The Clorox Company and has held board roles at high-growth and pre-IPO companies including Nextdoor, Anchor and Quantifind.
Experience Across Corporate Leadership and Investment
Banse previously served as Executive Vice President at Comcast and as Managing Director and Head of Funds at Comcast Ventures. Her career has included investment, corporate strategy and board-level oversight across established companies and startups.
She has also held several compensation committee leadership roles, including serving as Chair of Adobe's Compensation Committee and sitting on the compensation committees of On Holding and Clorox.
That experience will now extend to Nscale as the company builds out governance alongside its rapidly expanding AI cloud infrastructure operations.
Nscale Expands Its AI Infrastructure Business
Nscale operates a vertically integrated AI cloud platform combining software, computing infrastructure and power. Its services are designed to support AI training and inference for enterprises, governments and other organisations.
The board appointment comes during a major expansion period for the company. Nscale has recently secured billions of dollars in financing for AI infrastructure deployments and is preparing for a proposed initial public offering. Its recent expansion includes large-scale GPU deployments, data-center projects and partnerships aimed at increasing AI compute capacity.
Governance Becomes More Important at Scale
Nscale CEO and founder Josh Payne said the company needs strong governance alongside infrastructure as it scales. Banse's experience at major public companies and high-growth businesses is expected to strengthen the board's oversight as Nscale grows.
Banse said Nscale is positioned to become one of the companies shaping the next phase of the AI economy, pointing to its growth and ambition to build a vertically integrated AI cloud platform.
The appointment follows several other leadership changes at Nscale this year, including the addition of board members and senior executives as the company moves toward a larger global AI infrastructure footprint.
