NuSummit Appoints Kunal Purohit as Managing Director and CEO

Kunal Purohit takes over as NuSummit CEO in October 2026

NuSummit has appointed Kunal Purohit as its new Managing Director and CEO as the technology company enters its next phase of growth. The company announced the leadership change on October 1, with Purohit taking over from Anantharaman Sreenivasan, also known as Ganesh.

Sreenivasan has stepped down from the CEO role with immediate effect after leading NuSummit through five years of growth, integration and transformation. He will continue as an Executive Director on NuSummit's board until March 31, 2027, providing support during the leadership transition.

Purohit Brings Two Decades of Technology Experience

Purohit brings more than two decades of experience building and scaling technology businesses. Before joining NuSummit, he held senior leadership positions at Tech Mahindra and HCL Technologies, working across areas including AI, cybersecurity, cloud, data and digital transformation.

NuSummit's current leadership profile provides further details on his background. At Tech Mahindra, Purohit most recently served as President of the Next Gen Verticals Business Unit, overseeing a global portfolio of around $2 billion and a workforce of more than 30,000. His responsibilities covered vertical applications, platform engineering, AI, cybersecurity and cloud.

Earlier at HCLTech, he built the company's digital consulting practice for Europe and Asia-Pacific and grew it into a digital and analytics business exceeding $500 million, according to NuSummit.

Focus on AI, Cybersecurity and Cloud

Purohit's appointment comes as NuSummit continues to position AI, cybersecurity, data and cloud as core areas of its technology business. In his first statement as CEO, he pointed to the growing convergence of these technologies across enterprise operations and said the company intends to combine its industry expertise with engineering capabilities to deliver business value.

Varun Laul, Partner at Investcorp and a NuSummit board member, said Purohit's experience in scaling global technology businesses and his expertise in cybersecurity, cloud engineering and AI would support the company's next phase.

NuSummit Serves Financial Services Enterprises

NuSummit describes itself as a global technology company focused on AI-led cybersecurity and digital transformation across applications, data, analytics and cloud. The company says it serves more than 300 clients globally, including 22 Fortune 500 companies, with a particular focus on banking, insurance and capital markets.

The company is backed by Investcorp, which has supported NuSummit's development as an independent technology business. Purohit will now lead the company while Sreenivasan remains involved at board level during the transition period.
