SiMa.ai Raises $150M at $1.45B Valuation to Scale Physical AI

SiMa.ai raises $150 million to develop next-generation physical AI hardware

SiMa.ai has raised $150 million in Series C funding at a $1.45 billion valuation, giving the physical AI semiconductor company additional capital to expand its computing platform for machines operating in the real world. The latest round takes SiMa.ai’s total funding to $500 million.

The round was co-led by Fidelity Management & Research Company and Amplify, with existing investors including Dell Technologies Capital, Alter Venture Partners, Maverick Capital, +ND Capital, Point72 and StepStone Group participating. AllianceBernstein, Baron Capital, J.P. Morgan and the State of Michigan joined as new investors.

Funding Targets Next-Generation AI Silicon

SiMa.ai plans to use the new capital to scale Palette Neat, its software environment for developing and deploying physical AI applications, while also funding its next generation of AI hardware.

The company is developing new silicon capable of delivering up to 1,000 dense TOPS of computing performance. The hardware is planned for the first half of 2028 and is expected to incorporate machine-learning IP, chiplets and systems-on-chip.

Physical AI Platform Targets Robots and Vehicles

SiMa.ai develops purpose-built chips and software that allow AI models to run directly on physical devices rather than relying entirely on cloud-based computing. Its technology is designed for environments where power consumption, latency and hardware constraints are important.

The company is targeting applications across humanoid robotics, drones, automotive advanced driver-assistance systems and AI-powered vehicle cockpits. Existing customers will be able to migrate their applications to the company's future hardware architecture, according to SiMa.ai.

SiMa.ai Expands Its India Presence

Although headquartered in San Jose, SiMa.ai has a significant India presence. Business Standard reported that the company has around 90 employees in India and has gained traction across robotics, drones and automotive applications.

Its customer and partner network includes companies such as Bosch, Micron, Synopsys, L&T Technology Services, Emerson, AVerMedia and TRUMPF. The company said its year-over-year revenue growth quadrupled between 2024 and 2025, although it did not disclose absolute revenue figures.

AI Moves From Data Centers to Physical Devices

SiMa.ai is positioning its technology around the shift of AI workloads from centralized data centers to devices that need to process information locally. Robots, autonomous vehicles and drones can require AI inference with low latency and within strict power and size constraints.

The new funding gives SiMa.ai capital to develop its next hardware generation while expanding its software platform. The company expects its approach to support a broader range of physical AI systems as demand for AI-enabled machines grows.
