The Open Compute Project (OCP) Global Summit 2026 will take place in San Jose, California, from October 12–15, bringing together the global open-computing community to discuss the infrastructure needed to support the next generation of digital services and artificial intelligence. The event will be held at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center under the theme “Scaling Innovation for the AI Era.”

As demand for AI computing grows, data centres face increasing pressure to deliver more processing power while managing energy consumption, cooling requirements, networking performance and hardware costs. The summit will explore how open collaboration and shared engineering standards can help address these challenges across cloud computing and large-scale AI infrastructure.

The programme will feature keynote presentations, technical breakout sessions, engineering discussions, exhibitions, interactive demonstrations and workshops. Topics include server and storage architectures, AI cluster networking, power distribution, advanced cooling, hardware design, sustainability and systems management. The event will also showcase work developed through OCP community projects, giving participants an opportunity to examine emerging technologies and discuss their practical deployment.

The summit is designed for professionals across the technology ecosystem, including cloud providers, hardware manufacturers, data-centre operators, semiconductor companies, researchers and engineers. By bringing these groups together, OCP aims to encourage collaboration on open, scalable and efficient computing infrastructure.

Registration update: The official organiser has marked the 2026 summit as sold out and says onsite registration will not be offered. All sessions are expected to be recorded and shared with the community after the event.
